Lady Massingham is the captain of the Rosso Cielo. She is a Vaslorian. She's described as being tall and dressed in a tri-corner captain's hat. Her hair was once red and has been bleached to strawberry blonde by the sun. Her cheeks are red and freckled.
Lady Massingham allows The Chain passage aboard her ship as they all flee the destruction of Blackbottom in the first episode, Red Sky at Morning.
It is implied during dinner with The Chain that she took to the sea life because Ajax began his conquest of Vasloria, ten years prior to the beginning of the campaign.
